  • BEHAVIORAL MEDICINE

Dr. Fite has a particular interest in this modality.  Illness doesn't always have a physical cause. Through a thorough examination  and history, we can help determine the cause of such disorders as separation anxiety and obsessive behavior, and then develop a treatment regimen for the disorder.

  • BLOOD TRANSFUSION

We are able to provide blood transfuisions to patients when appropriate.  The donors are healthy dogs and cats that are pets in our staff's homes.

  • CARDIOLOGY

Our veterinarians examine the cardiovascular system during your pet's routine physical examination.  By detecting heart murmors, coughs, or respiratory distress, we can uncover the need for further cardiovascular testing.

Our clinic can provide routine EKG and radiographic servies.  In addition, we have a trained cardiologist that performs cardiac ultrasounds at our clinic once montly.

  • COMPLEMENTARY MEDICINE

Our clinic embraces a combination traditional and holistic approach to pet health and wellness. We balance traditional medicine with herbal, accupuncture, and chiropractic therapies.

  • DENTAL CARE

Regular professional cleaning is important to maintaining your pet's teeth. We use modern and safe ultrasound to clean each tooth thoroughly - above and below the gum line. Dental technicians polish teeth to create a smooth, lustrous tooth surface more resistant to plaque buildup. Fluoride treatments help strengthen enamel and reduce tooth sensitivity.

In addition to routine cleaning, we can extract or treat diseased teeth to improve oral and overall health.

  • EMERGENCY AND CRITICAL CARE

In any emergency, seconds count. Our experienced staff is trained in the ABCs of basic life support – Airway, Breathing, Circulation/Cardiac compressions. Emergency care is offered during regular business hours. In addition, we use the services of a local, fully staffed emergency center.

  • ENDOSCOPY

High-tech fiber optics permits direct visual examination and biopsies of your pet’s gastrointestinal system. This allows for more accurate diagnosis and treatment of oral, esophageal, stomach, colon and even upper intestinal tract disease. Foreign objects can also be removed without the need for surgery. Endoscopic services are provided by an internal medicine specialist who regularly visits our practice.

  • FULLY STOCKED PHARMACY

We stock a wide range of the best veterinary drugs in the animal healthcare field.

  • HOSPICE/EUTHANASIA SERVICES

Saying goodbye to a long-time friend is painful. We work with clients to ensure their pet's comfort and dignity. Services include taking care of the remains as directed by the client.

  • PAIN MANAGEMENT

Veterinary patients feel pain and discomfort under the same circumstances as people do. Both surgery and illness can be a painful time.

We know that recognizing and alleviating pain in animals is the essence of good patient care.

Patients are carefully monitored for signs of pain, and accordingly offered several differnent types of pain medications as necessary.

  • RADIOLOGY

Radiology – or X-rays – help our veterinarians evaluate muscular-skeletal, cardiovascular(cardiopulmonary), gastrointestinal, reproductive and urinary systems.

  • SPECIALISTS

Sometimes conditions arise that require veterinarians with specialized training. A cardiologist and an internal medicine specialist regularly visit our practice.  In addition, other specialists are readily available by referral.

  • SURGERY

Our veterinary surgeons are all trained in routine abdominal surgeries (ie: spay and netuer, mass removals).  In addition, we offer a full range of standard and emergency abdominal procedures (cystotomy, intestinal surgery, GDV, splenectomy).

In addition, Dr. Harris is highly trained in orthopedic procedures (fracture repair, cranial cruciate ligament repair, amputations).

All patients are carefully monitored  for heart rate, blood pressure, and pulse oximetry during their anesthetic procedure.

  • ULTRASOUND

This non-invasive, state-of-the-art technology uses sound waves to painlessly examine specific internal organs, primarily the heart and abdominal organs.

Ultrasound studies are performed by an internal medicine specialist once weekly here in our clinic.
